2017 Rainbow and DeMolay Awards

The Scholarship Award and donation for this year was presented by Brother Matthew A. Boice, P.M.

The $500.00 2017 Rainbow Scholarship was presented to senior Rainbow Girl, Jenna May, Past Worthy Advisor, Martha Assembly, of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls at her graduation party on Saturday July 1st. Her mother Lisa May is the Worthy Matron of Martha V. Paul Chapter #404, Order of the Eastern Star. Her father Ralph is a member of Claysville Lodge # 447. Brother Boice, shown presenting a donation check for $250.00 to Brother Eric. M. Ullom, P.M. Washington Lodge #164 and DeMolay Advisor for Joppa Chapter, Order of DeMolay for use as needed to promote the organizations activities.

Brethren, the above awards and donation are the result of a combined work effort of our Grant/Scholarship Committee over the past year and the donations made by members of the Lodge. Our Lodge members should be very proud of this program and are encouraged to include a donation to this program when they submit their dues. The Lodge has special events during the year that do give support to this program, but these by themselves have proved to be insufficient to maintain it, so the personal donations that members make are essential to the overall success. The Lodge officers and the committee sincerely hope that the membership will continue to make donations that will insure the program going forward in the future.
